"You are nothing without a good team."
In honor of Women's History Month, I want to shout out the following warrior women that have selflessly poured into Beautiful Healing (BH) in her infancy. Please know that there are so MANY women that have invested into Beautiful Healing through giving their time, talent or treasures. I never forget to say, "Thank you." You all mean the world to me.
After a brisk walk at Cascades Park one day, I remember thinking, "How in the world am I going to find consistent talent to link arms with me to create the big vision God gave me for Beautiful Healing?" I had limited resources. I knew the answer wouldn't fall out of the sky, I looked up anyway, though. It was a beautiful day. Not a cloud in the sky. I needed specific directions as clear as the sky that day.
You see, I didn't receive a list of directions for how to create BH. No dream with all the details. However, my discernment sharpened. My ability of "knowing" heightened. For example one day I felt compelled to call my friend, Delany, Founder of Made For More Productions. She and I met at Red Hills Church in 2017. I asked for more information about where I could find a strategy regarding social media language. I had no clue about what I was doing. I asked her for advice. While I was on the phone with her, I had a strong gut feeling that she would one day manage all the social media needs for BH. Was she sent by the Lord to manage that?
I met Keli Rose when we both worked at Tallahassee Community College as adjunct professors. I learned of her appreciation for writing when she shared that she majored in English in college. One day, I shared that I was building my team and needed a freelance content editor from time to time. Keli instantly volunteered. Perhaps, she would manage the editing needs for BH?
I discovered Cynecia on social media. She is the founder of necieDIMPLE. Her work is incredible. I reached out to her to learn more about her and her rates. Cynecia could clearly see that I was working on a shoestring budget. She was the second business to participate in my "Business Shower." Basically, it can cost a pretty penny to get a business up off the ground. I created a business registry to help with the needs of my business. Cynecia graciously gifted me with a photoshoot I refer to as the "Confidence in the Garden." She is beautiful inside and out! Talk about dynamic! I remember asking the question, "Is she the one to manage photography for BH?"
Quia of QZ Design Gallery is a huge blessing and warrior woman. We met under the most beautiful circumstances. Quia created "The River of Healing" canvas in honor of my mother, Phyllis Williams, and happily gifted it to the Courage Through Cancer Benefit Dinner's silent auction. I loved it the moment I saw it; however, as a new entrepreneur, I couldn't afford it. Without any explanation, I was given the beautiful art at the Silent Auction. The beautiful piece of art hangs in my prayer room at my house. Quia is phenomenal. Perhaps she was sent to create beauty for BH?
I met this humble young lady named Amoi last summer. She collaborated with a business partner I hired for a unique project. Amoi created graphic design images for my review. As we got to know one another better, I soon realized that she possessed the ability to listen to my vision for Beautiful Healing in such a distinct way. When I couldn't describe the look that I wanted, she knew how to create it. Was she the one sent to capture the vision and build it in reality?
Yes, all of these women are now members of my BH team. There are many others as well. However, these have worked with me on a day by day basis to develop Beautiful Healing in a variety of ways. All the hand-picked women teach me daily that women will help other women. It takes a warrior mentality to see another woman as a teacher; not a threat. It's a beautiful experience. My team is strong! Together we all are evidence of the mission of Beautiful Healing. We embody worthiness, unapologetically. I adore them. Ok, I want to hear from you, sis. What is your definition of a warrior woman?
Here's to healing, sisters!
Love,
Felicia
